Reviewer Guidelines

Reviewers should:

  • Accept assignments only within their competence.
  • Declare relevant conflicts of interest.
  • Treat manuscripts as confidential.
  • Provide objective and constructive academic comments.
  • Avoid personal criticism.
  • Identify major methodological, ethical or interpretive concerns.
  • Avoid requesting irrelevant citations.
  • Not use unpublished information for personal advantage.
  • Submit assessments within the agreed review period or notify the editor if more time is required.

A reviewer recommendation should be supported by clear scholarly reasoning.
