Editorial-board members should be appointed on the basis of relevant academic qualifications, research expertise, publication experience and ability to contribute responsibly to the journal.
The journal should seek reasonable institutional and geographical diversity.
Membership should not be offered merely in exchange for manuscript submission, payment or citation.
Board membership may be periodically reviewed and discontinued where a member is inactive, requests removal, no longer meets the journal’s requirements or is found to have materially breached publication-integrity standards
